The Mass General Brigham Department of Neurology is seeking an accomplished neurologist to serve as the Chief of Hospital Neurology and to join the faculty of Harvard Medical School.

The successful candidate should be an expert neurohospitalist with a national or international reputation and a record of research and publication in academic inpatient neurology. The Hospital Neurology Program consists of faculty members based at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Mass General Hospital and serving on the Mass General Brigham Teleneurology Network. The candidate will have responsibilities for overseeing administrative, clinical, research, and educational activities, including further developing a clinical research program in hospital neurology and growing a newly approved neurohospitalist fellowship. The candidate will have responsibilities for teaching, supervising, and mentoring Harvard medical students, neurology residents, neurohospitalist fellows, and junior faculty. Faculty are obligated to teach a minimum of 50 hours per year in the Harvard community.

The successful candidate will be nominated at the Harvard Medical School as either Assistant Professor or Associate Professor commensurate with experience and scholarship in the field. Candidates with a clinical research background and associated scholarship are encouraged to apply. The candidate should have a track record of mentoring and teaching trainees and administrative experience. To be considered, candidates must hold the M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees and be board-eligible or certified in Neurology. They should possess a strong record as a clinician-investigator in the field and should have a passionate commitment to patient care, clinical operations, quality and safety, teaching, and collaboration.
