Clinical Associates - Inpatient Neurology

The University of Chicago's Department of Neurology is searching for full-time Clinical Associates for renewable two-year terms. These positions will provide direct patient care managing hospitalized patients with complex neurological subspecialty needs. These positions will be oriented to UCM’s hospitals including UChicago Medicine Hyde Park, Ingalls Memorial, and UChicago Medicine Advent Health, with a mix of in-person and telemedical responsibilities and site deployment dependent on system needs and candidate preferences. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent on qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must

  1. have a medical doctorate or equivalent,
  2. hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and
  3. be Board certified or eligible in Neurology or equivalent.

We especially welcome applicants with training in vascular neurology, neurocritical care, or neurohospitalist fellowships.
