The Mount Sinai Department of Neurology is seeking enthusiastic applicants for an exciting opportunity in our Neurohospitalist Division.

This full-time faculty position will primarily involve inpatient general neurology work (non-stroke) at several of our health system hospitals in New York City, where you will have the opportunity to provide high quality care for patients with a broad range of complex neurological diseases and neurological manifestations of systemic illness.  You will additionally have the opportunity to collaborate with superb neurological and neurosurgical subspecialists, participate in and contribute to a robust QA/PI program, and engage in education of trainees, as well as further best practice integration of APPs into our service lines. The Neurohospitalist Division at the Mount Sinai Health System is a rapidly growing and dynamic space, where creativity and collaboration are highly valued. This position may also include a mixture of outpatient coverage, including hospital discharges, and it may include specialty patient work commensurate with the applicant’s prior training or experience, as well as participation in outpatient lumbar puncture teaching clinics. Weekend coverage includes an innovative blend of in person and teleneurology coverage across sites.
 
The successful candidate for this position will be appointed as an Assistant Professor (or higher commensurate with experience) in the Department of Neurology in the renowned Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Mount Sinai’s Department of Neurology is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care, embracing the mission of the Icahn School of Medicine by pursuing an integrative approach to patient care, research, and education.  The chosen candidate must have excellent clinical skills and an interest in inpatient general neurology consultation.   Our recently-formed, systemwide Neurohospitalist Division is establishing practice standards, metrics, and protocols for inpatient neurology care quality across the Mount Sinai Health System, collaborating with NeuroCritical Care, Stroke, Epilepsy and other services, as appropriate, and harnessing information technology to elevate the quality and safety of care.  The successful candidate will be part of the Department’s Neurohospitalist Division and should partner in establishing a track record of excellence in clinical care and fostering a high level of teamwork with colleagues across hospitals and services.  The successful candidate has the option to teach neurology residents on electives from our ACGME-approved adult neurology residency programs, as well as medical students on electives from ISMMS.

Physician: Neurohospitalist in beautiful Boise, Idaho

St. Luke’s Clinic Neurology in Boise, Idaho is seeking multiple BC/BE Neurologists to build our Neurohospitalist team.  Ideal candidates will be fellowship trained in Vascular Neurology.  We are actively seeking to build the largest neurohospitalist team in Idaho to serve the state’s largest medical system.  Candidates should have broad interest in inpatient neurology, including the management of stroke, seizures, meningitis and encephalitis, intracranial hemorrhage, neuromuscular crises, teleneurology, neurocritical care, etc.  Acute ischemic stroke is the most common diagnosis seen, and candidates should especially be expert with patient selection for both IV thrombolysis and emergent thrombectomy. 

This is a highly collaborative position among neurohospital, neurointerventional, epileptology, neuroradiology, emergency medicine, and inpatient medicine physicians. Our specialists emphasize a comprehensive, coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach for adult patients, ensuring patients receive high quality, cost effective care.
