Neurohospitalist Opportunity in Rome, Georgia – 7-On/7-Off Schedule with No Night Call

TeamHealth is seeking a full-time Neurohospitalist to join our well-established and growing team at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia—a charming, historic community just one hour north of Atlanta. This is a rewarding opportunity to practice high-quality, inpatient neurology in a collaborative environment with excellent support and infrastructure.

Position Highlights

• Full-time neurohospitalist position with guaranteed 14 shifts per month
• 7-on/7-off block schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No night call – telemedicine coverage after hours ensures a true work-life balance
• Modern, state-of-the-art facility with comprehensive support services
• Close collaboration with TeamHealth hospitalists, emergency medicine physicians, and subspecialists
• Visa sponsorship available (J-1 and H-1B)
  

Clinical Scope

• Daily rounding on 9–10 patients, Average of 6–7 new consults per day
• Respond to 2–3 stroke codes daily (first responder)
• Teleneurology coverage at night
• Teleneurocritical care for post-intervention procedure management
  
• Thrombectomy-capable center managing ischemic stroke and hemorrhage
  
• EEG interpretation (5–6 per week) and long-term video EEG (~1/week)
  
• Support for point-of-care cerebral EEG
  
• Two EEG technicians on-site
  
• Stroke coordinator and strong clinical protocols in place
  
• Internal Medicine residents on service—opportunity to teach and engage with GME
  

Candidate Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology
• Proficient in EEG reading and acute stroke management
• Open to new graduates
• Passion for clinical excellence and collaborative practice
